Back!

Sun Aug 9, 2009, 10:56 AM
Illness, laziness, buisness and all that other stuff has kinda kept me from having anything to upload recently. Not that I haven't been drawing. Got a lot of stuff to clean up and scan. Other than that, been playing a lot of Halo, Oneechanbara, Marvel vs Capcom 2 and now G.I. Joe.

Also, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Turtles in Time, which explains the latest upload.

Marylin Monroe and The Seven Year Itch

Sat Jun 6, 2009, 7:21 PM
So, it's 2:20am, I've just watched two hours of tattoo'd and baby oiled men in underwear grappling each other, which is suprisingly less interesting now Mr Kennedy is no longer a part of the company, I'm not sleepy, so what do I do ?

Apparently I watch a film called "The Seven Year Itch".

Now, I'd wager some of you already know the film, and its stars. I didn't. Hell, all I knew Marylin Monroe from was that song Elton John re-wrote for Princess Diana. In any case, I figure I've nothing else to do so why not watch this film thats twice my age, it'll be good for a half laugh at how appaling I'll find it, right ?

Well, dear reader, I couldn't of been more wrong. Maybe it's because I wasn't expecting anything, but it was one of the most enjoyable films I've seen in years. Maybe it was how old the film was, and how much it took for granted that you just dont see now, casual smoking for instance, I haven't seen anyone smoke for ages, especially since the bans here. Then there was Tom Ewell and his characters awesome imagination.

Oh, and Marylin Monroe. I've seen pictures before, but like I've said, knew as little as a person possibly could about her and her work, and watching this film was one of those "moments" when something you don't really understand suddenly just clicks, and I was "like, woah, Marylin Monroe, so that's what all the fuss was/is about".

So yeah, some random act at a silly time in the morning has just smacked a new sense of understanding into my life. Kinda wanna watch that film again too.

Back to Bidniz

Hopefully that's everything we'll need doing done now. Just the rest of the redecorating to do. So I'll be back to more regular updates this week. I've got a pile of stuff to scan up, then I'm going to be working on the requests I've said I'd do. After that, er, well I'll cross that bridge when I get there =P

So, no power during the day for the next, well, who knows, most likely. No electricity = more time not playing games. Also, no computer, boo.
